An inspirational educational video based on concepts from the Academy Award winning motion picture ‘Shakespeare In Love,’ starring Joseph Fiennes, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Affleck, Judi Dench, Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Tom Wilkinson.

About Shakespeare in Love:
Young Will Shakespeare is the up and coming playwright of the time, but has been disastrously struck by the bane of the writer’s life – writer’s block. His comedy “Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate’s Daughter” isn’t going anywhere and the playhouse is under threat of closure. What Will needs is a muse, and she appears in the form of the beautiful and bethrothed Lady Viola. The path of true love does not run smooth for Will, but the joys and tragedy of his own life find their way onto the page in a moving, witty and spellbinding tale.

Starring, in alphabetical order: Ben Affleck, Judi Dench, Joseph Fiennes, Colin Firth, Gwyneth Paltrow, Geoffrey Rush, Tom Wilkinson

  1. Women had a dismal status Ms Paltrow…. and yet the most powerful person in the land was… a woman. And still is.

  2. the boy with the mouse is "John Webster". Webster became a playwright who specialized in blood and horror.

  3. Ms. Goop should be deleted from this "educational" video since women did not appear on an English stage until
many years after Shakespeare's death. "Shakespeare in Love" was not a fiction it was a travesty.

  4. Yo school boys and girls!
you need to chill.. If you do not like an elaborate video on YouTube showing the history related to William Shakespeare and you still want (need) to know it any how,
There is a site known as "No fear Shakespeare" google it and study there.
Or you can simply read Shakespeare's Wikipedia
No need to spread hate speech and nuisense about a fine work of art and a poet who did you no harm!
    Learn to appreciate and respect.

  5. Great movie!
In the sense of Drama, Romance and Acting.
No arguments why it went for oscars.
Joseph fiennes has daubtlessly brought the character of Shakespeare so vibrant and vigorous, it appears larger than life and animated. Although we know so little true facts about the bard.
Viola is exquisite and utterly seems like an inspiration for 3 of Shakespeare's heroines, Viola, Juliet and Portia.
True description of life and environment of 16th century London. Marvelous costuming and music.

  6. Many wouldn´t go to a play unless it had at least one good ___stabbing___.
anyone got an answer for that??? [EDIT] if anyone needs this its here
